We are very excited to announce our next APASO Conference on May 1-3, 2019 in Dallas, Texas! The 2019 conference will again lead with the work of equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) at the forefront of our programming. How do we as arts service organizations use our unique positions to help support our communities? How do we lead from a place of inclusion without first doing the work ourselves? Join us for APASO 2019 for a week of collaboration, conversation and community as we tackle these important questions.

We want your help in shaping the 2019 conference. Based on feedback from the 2018 conference, the 2019 conference will focus on a breadth of topics including, but not limited to the following:

• Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
• Sustainability – new funding strategies for Arts Service Organizations
• Audience development and engagement
• Professional development for artists and arts managers
• Arts advocacy (both political and media advocacy)
• Proving the relevance of the arts and meeting community needs

Given APASO’s commitment to EDI work, we plan that all sessions will be approached with an equity focus. The sessions and/or facilitators you recommend should be able to address these themes/topics with an equity lens.

Please share your thoughts and recommendations with us about sessions and facilitators you’d like to see by Friday, November 16.
