2019 APASO Conference

How arts service organizations both lead and support the shifting landscape of arts organizations.

The 2019 APASO Conference features three days of networking, professional development, and arts administrative workshops with the most innovative local arts service organizations in the nation. Join us for this year’s conference as we examine industry trends and advocacy efforts as applied through the lens of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion.

For proposals, we are looking for presenters to share resources and in-field findings with the cohort for the purpose of group learning. This year, we are seeking the following kinds of proposals:

1. Keynote Speakers (~45-60 minutes)
   Equity, Diversity, Inclusion
   Leadership/Organization Structure/Field Trends
2. Peer-Led PechaKucha 20×20* Presentations (*a simple presentation format where you show 20 images, each for 20 seconds. The images advance automatically and you talk along to the images. Presentations last about 7 minutes)
   Advocacy
   Equity, Diversity, Inclusion
   Leadership
3. Workshops/Masterclasses (~45-60 minutes)
   Can address any topic in-line with the APASO values: Agency, Justice, Data Literacy, Relevance, Camaraderie

*Speakers and presenters will be compensated for their time either in paid stipends or attendance assistance.

Keynote Speakers

• $1,000 Stipend
• Up to $500 reimbursement for flight/mileage (if driving)
• We will book a 1-night stay at the Magnolia

Workshop/General Session Facilitators

If a non-conference attendee…

• $500 stipend
• Up to $250 reimbursement for flight/mileage (if driving)
• We will book a 1-night stay at the Magnolia

If a conference attendee…

• Waive full conference registration
• $125 Stipend

Pecha Kucha Presenters

• $150 Stipend (per organization)
